● Famitsu reported that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold 1,238,358 in Japan in its first three days (retail numbers) with Media Create numbers at 1,220,535. Nintendo Switch hardware is now at over six million in Japan. Pocket Monsters: Let’s Go! Pikachu／Eevee has also become the latest million seller for Nintendo Switch in Japan.
● Nintendo updated Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online to Ver. 2.0.0 adding the three previously announced games along with both Dr. Mario Shiruhitozoshiru UFO Chokuzen Version (Dr. Mario: The UFO cover-up) and Metroid Kessen! Ridley Version (Metroid: The decisive battle against Ridley). Screenshots and more information posted here.
● PONOS announced the Nintendo Switch version of The Battle Cats, Futari de！Nyanko Daisensou will release on the Japanese eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥999.
● Nintendo announced Version 1.2.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be distributed within the next week, plus a Spectacled Spirits event beginning on 14 December where defeating Spirits wearing glasses or sunglasses will earn you extra gold.
● G-mode announced the mini-game collection Tori Dama ～Minna De Chicken do Shindan～ will release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥500 with preloads now live at 30% off (¥350). Promo video posted here. The game originally released as DSiWare in 2009 with additional content in the Switch version.
● G-mode also announced that the the card game Solitaire Klondike BLACK will release on the eShop next week too (although no pricing information as of today), and there are plans for the crop-gathering simulation game Gunma no Yabou (Gunma’s Ambition) for next week too. G-mode also have plans to remake more old titles and release more new games on Switch (as well as resurrecting several Data Eat franchises).
● Hamster’s two games this week are ACA NEOGEO Metal Slug 5 and the previously announced Arcade Archives Athena, with each title priced at ¥823. ACA NEOGEO Puzzle Bobble arrives next week.
● Takara Tomy Arts announced a download code for a Zoids Wild: King of Blast demo will be in the January 2019 issue of CoroCoro Comic (out 15 December).
● Three new demos were added to the Japanese Switch eShop today with the Kairosoft simulation games Bouken Dungeon Mura (Dungeon Village) and Game Hatten-Koku++ (Game Dev Story), and the Vertex Pop shooter Graceful Explosion Machine.
● Kemco announced the RPG Asdivine Hearts II for releases on the Japanese Switch eShop this Winter. Promo video posted here.
● UNTIES postponed the release date of the latest Touhou Genso Wanderer game, Fushigi no Gensokyo -Lotus Labyrinth- from 25 April to early Summer 2019. Box art and promo video posted here.
● Kogado Studio announced, and released, the visual novel game Symphonic Rain on the Japanese Switch eShop where it is currently half-price (¥2,400). The game was previously released on PlayStation Portable.
● Marvelous today released Shinobi Refle -SENRAN KAGURA- Character Full Set on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥4,000 and including Senran Kagura Reflexions with all four character DLC.
● Worker Bee also released a digital ‘Bundled Pack’ for Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron containing both campaign scenarios and priced at ¥3,380 (it’s also currently on sale at ¥3,042!).
● A Famitsu livestream for Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will be on 20 December at 19:00 JST with Goichi Suda likely announcing the Japanese release date for the game.
● PLAYISM announced the cyberpunk adventure game 2064: Read Only Memories INTEGRAL will release on the Japanese Switch eShopon 27 December priced at ¥2,064 with preloads now live at 10% off (¥1,857). Promo video posted here.
● Mediascape announced the rhythm fighting game PHRASEFIGHT will release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥1,000 with preloads now live. Promo video posted here.
● Kemco announced the role playing game Chronus Arc will release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥1,296 with preloads now live.
● SAT-BOX announced the party shooter game Voxel Sword will release on the Japanese Switch eShop on 27 December priced at ¥800 with preloads now live at 10% off (¥720). Introduction video posted here.
● Regista announced the deepsea visual novel game DEI GRATIA no Rashinban (DEI GRATIA in the fifth day) on the Japanese Switch eShop on 27 December priced at ¥972 with preloads now live.
● Annapurna Interactive announced the physics puzzle game Donut County will release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (18 December) priced at ¥1,500. Reveal trailer posted here.
● Rainy Frog announced the jigsaw puzzle game Ugoku Jigsaw Puzzle: Yasei Doubutsu (Animated Jigsaws: Wild Animals) will release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥999. Japanese trailer posted here.
● Toydea updated Dragon Fang Z: Ryuusha Rose to Yadorigi no Meikyuu to Version 1.2.0 adding an extra paid (¥800) dungeon ‘Naraku no Shijiku’.
● SUCCESS published the sudoku game Nanpure 10000 (Sudoku 10000) on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥700. The game is also available on mobile.
● Supergiant Games today published the sci-fi-themed action RPG Transistor on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥2,050. Announcement trailer posted here.
● Twisted Pixel published the action platform game Ms. Splosion Man on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥1,480. Official trailer posted here.
● H2 Interactive also published the physics-based puzzle game Kill The Bad Guy on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥980.
● And Intragames published the 3D action adventure game Mulaka on the Japanese Switch eShop at ¥2,050 with the game currently 10% off (¥1,845). Launch trailer posted here.
● Mario & Luigi RPG3 DX (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey) preloads are now live on the Japanese 3DS eShop priced at ¥5,378 and requiring 5,349 blocks.
● Bandai Namco Entertainment have permanently reduced the price of Dragon Ball Z: Chou Kyuukyoku Butouden (¥6,145 → ¥3,024), Dragon Ball Fusions (¥6,156 → ¥3,024) and Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X (¥6,156 → ¥3,024) on the Japanese 3DS eShop.
● Five new vocaloid themes have been added to the Japanese 3DS Theme Shop featuring Mafumafu, Umetora, Utsu-P, MARETU and 164. Trailers posted here.
● Level-5 are holding a huge Winter Sale on the Japanese 3DS eShop until 08 January with 37 games at half-price including the Yokai Watch, Inazuma Eleven and Professor Layton series.

● Dragalia Lost saw the Summon Showcase: Dragon Special event begin (detailed here), along with the Main story & Elemental Ruins half-stamina event and The Imperial Onslaught half-stamina event.
● Fire Emblem Heroes saw Bound Hero Battle: Ike & Soren begin along with Summoning Focus: Bound Hero Battle featuring Ike: Young Mercenary, Soren: Shrewd Strategist and Elincia: Lost Princess.

● Nintendo Co., Ltd. announced that the ‘Record Date for Year-End Dividends for the 79th Fiscal Year’ will be on 31 March 2019. Before then is the ‘Nine Months Earnings Release’ on 31 January.
● FDG Entertainment announced that Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom has sold 50,000 units across all three platforms in its opening week.
