● Konami announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Legacy of the Duelist：Link Evolution for Nintendo Switch with more information due in the V-Jump magazine out on 21 February.
● FuRyu announced Cardfight!! Vanguard EX for release in the Fall on both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Check out the teaser trailer here.
● Neos announced Puru Chara Friends Hoppe-Chan to Sanrio Characters for 25 April release on Nintendo Switch priced at ¥5,184. Box art and screenshot posted here.
● D3 Publisher announced the sports game collection THE Taikan！Sports Pack ～Tennis・Bowling・Golf・Billiard～ and the variety game collection THE Variety Game Dai Shuugou ～Kingyo Sukui・Card・Suuji Puzzle・Nikakudori～ for 04 April priced at ¥2,870 each. The sports game collection includes a new game, THE Golf.
● The February Nintendo Switch Online update arrives on 13 February and adds Super Mario Bros. 2, Kirby’s Adventure, and the Japan exclusive, Tsuppari Ozumo. Trailers posted here.
● H2 INTERACTIVE announced they will be localising the 2D simulation game Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition for Japan on 25 April priced at ¥5,184. Box art posted here.
● Teyon Japan opened up a new subsidiary label Digital Bards who announced 30 in 1 Mini Game Collection Vol.1 for 21 February priced at ¥1,500, Enigmatis 2：Ravenwood no Kiri for priced at ¥1,000, and Kenchiku！Gondola ＆ Lift (When Ski Lifts Go Wrong) forn March/April priced at ¥1,500.
● The only Hamster title this week saw the classic action puzzle game ACA NEOGEO Puzzle Bobble 2 release worldwide on the Nintendo Switch eShop IKARI and Image Fight were also reconfirmed in the Arcade Archiver livestream.
● Chucklefish published the acclaimed strategy RPG Wargroove on the Japanese Switch eShop priced at ¥2,050 with multiple languages supported (including English).
● Rainy Frog announced they will be localising the cute platformer Phantom Cat Super Nya Edition (Super Phantom Cat 2) on the Japanese Switch eShop in late February priced at ¥500. Trailer posted here.
● Starsign announced Imomushi Wars DX (literally ‘Caterpillar Wars DX’) for release on the Japanese Switch eShop next week (14 February) priced at ¥500. Promo video posted here.
● And this week’s Japanese Switch demos saw Langrisser Ⅰ＆Ⅱ, Meimon Pocket Gakuin 2 (Pocket Academy 2), and Aperion Cyberstorm. Langrisser is Japanese-language only and will be available to preload from 28 February.
● Nintendo published a demo for Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn on the eShop in both Europe and Japan (where it is known as Keito no Kirby Plus). Check out the game introduction video and amiibo introduction video at this post.
● FuRyu added a Doraemon: Nobita no Getsumen Tansaki theme (Doraemon: Nobita’s Chronicle of the Moon Exploration) to the Japanese 3DS Theme Shop priced at ¥200. Picture posted here.
● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw a best-friend confection (pictured here) to give to your favourite animal! The game also saw the Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt Valentine’s Jam Session event begin (full details here).
● Fire Emblem Heroes was updated to Version 3.2.0 (more information here). Special Heroes: Greil’s Devoted also began featuring Greil: Heroic Exemplar, Soren: Addled Strategist, Mist: Purest Spirit, and Ike: Stalwart Heart (videos here and artwork here).
● The Pokémon Co. released a Pokémon TCG Card Dex app in many countries (excluding Japan). The app allows you to browse all cards released since Sun & Moon, with your smart device camera and allows you to scan your own cards inside the app.
● Super Mario Run saw the Weekend Spotlight: Bowser’s Minions event with the full list of items available detaled here.
● Kingdom Hearts III was the best-selling game again in Japan selling 91,019, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe was the best-selling Switch game with 45,879. ● Nintendo of America announced a new limited-time Nintendo Switch bundle for sale on 15 February in the U.S. priced at $299.99, and which includes a $35 Nintendo eShop Download Code.
● Koei Tecmo Games announced that Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland will release on 21 May in North America and 24 May in Europe (the Japanese Lulua no Atelier ～Arland no Renkinjutsushi４ launches on 20 March).
● Microsoft reportedly wants to bring its Xbox Live cross-platform gaming to Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and more.
● Warner Japan announced a Ni No Kuni animated movie, which opens this Summer in Japan and will be directed by Yoshiyuki Momose.
● In Capcom numbers: Megaman 11 has sold 870K worldwide on all platforms, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 has sold 920K, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection has sold 800k, and Monster Hunter XX (Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate) has sold 3.0 million.
