The simply answer is cloning. Eventhub.com says Ed is a clone a body for M Bison and thus he must grew up quickly. That might explain it. Although we might have to wait for his story mode or at last trailer to get the full idea.
But their is something we might want to guess on. Telling by the fact he has Balrog style boxing gloves and uses psycho power he might an odd mix between the mad buffalo and the power mad dictator. I see Balrog punching style as up close and personal and Bison psycho power for far away. The previous teaser pic showed the new character doing something to Balrog using the power so we know it is going to be at his disposal but to what end is hard to say. In the story mode Ed uses it as a form of telekinesis. He might have that still as Balrog in the teaser is in mid air. What do you think though? Let me know.
