With a time skip this would give characters the time they need to grow. This would shake things up so we aren’t betting on only Goku and Vegeta but others.

To be honest it doesn’t need a time skip for this as it is the creators chose as to focus on just Goku or not as we have seen with the series . The article mentions tournament of power  giving I would to as in a short period we got to see the other Z fighters show they are can still fight along side Vegeta and Goku. The thing is it is up the Toei and Shonen to decide if that will happen.

But those are my thoughts. Let me know what you think.
