Matt Walker who is a producer on the game when down playing expectations mentioned not talking about Vergil weapons. This has people hyped as they are wondering what he meant and we will talk about that here a bit.

Now first off we need to keep in mind that he might just mean Vergil and the tools he has from the trailer which shows him using Yamato, V and his familiars or the doubleganger. Those can be styles he tapes into that might be seen as his weapons.

But lets say those are trigger abilities and not weapons. So then this leads us to talk about the idea of Vergil having weapons carried over from DMC 4 SE. This means weapons like Beowolf will be his or better yet others that he picked as Dante was selling them to pay debtors.  If so it would be a cool way to bring old weapons that fans have been demanding back besides Cerberus in a cool way.

Lastly this leaves us with the idea of him getting new weapons. Now most devil arms come from defeating a devil which is done in most of the time in game for that title. But not always as Dante has Balrog with really no explanation. The other way to explain this is that Vergil actually might be facing new enemies giving him the chance to get new devil arms. If that is the case then we might be set to get a lot more from Vergil than we did from DMC 4 SE which will make fans happy.
