From August 2017, Jeju Island implemented a new city and intercity bus system. It increased the number of buses in service, while simplifying the routes, fees and numbering system.

Consequently, the contents of this previously published blog post may have changed. We therefore would kindly request that you consult this page for new bus maps in English on VisitJeju.net, and this page on our blog for a chart of the old and new bus route numbers.

If you read Korean, then the province’s official bus system website is a useful and up-to-date resource. We hope you’ll enjoy your travels on Jeju Island!

The festival is from June 4 to June 18, 2016 at Saryeoni Forest. You can go there by bus #781, 710, 720, or 730 from the Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal or by the Jeju City Tour Bus. The buses will drop you off at the Saryeoni Forest entrance. The festival is from 8am – 5pm on weekdays, and 7:00am-5:30pm on the weekend.

<img data-attachment-id="2093" data-permalink="https://jejutourism.wordpress.com/?p=2093" data-orig-file="" data-orig-size="" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="[]" data-image-title="[Jeju Travel – Theme and Museum] The Biggest in Asia – World Bike Museum at BL Bike Park " data-image-description="
I headed for Pyoseon-myeon in Seogwipo which is home to Asia’s largest motorcycle museum and opened in July 2011.

The motorcycle in this photograph was made in 1939 and is called …

It forms part of the exhibits on show in Hall 1 which has motorcycles on show from the 1930’s through to the 1980’s.

Other exhibits include Charlie Chaplin’s … through to the Harley-Davidson, which is every motorcyclists dream.

This photograph reveals an early years Harley-Davidson model.

Even though you might not know a lot about motorcycles everyone knows about this infamous brand. So much so when tourists have finished looking around the whole museum they come back to admire the Harleys a little bit longer.

The motorcycle here is the Honda CBR-125R.

It was one of the first 17 bought by the Korean Motorcycle Association back in the early 1980’s and was used to participate in competitions abroad.

At that time the importation of two-wheeled vehicle was prohibited so they were stashed safely in Japan.

30 years later we can finally appreciate one of the original batch here in Korea and on Jeju Island.

The second exhibition hall is home to the Ural Sidecar which is from the Korean movie, The Good, the Bad and the Weird

You’ll also find a motorcycle from the KBS drama, My too Perfect Sons.

There is also a motorcycle on display once used by actor Choi Min-soo which includes ink and wash paintings.

From the entrance the main hall has some kind of strange feeling about it. The curtains shut out light and coupled with the colorful lights and music it feels like you’re actually at a motorcycle show.

It is in Hall 3 you get to meet the high-end and quirky high quality motorcycles.

Here you can discover the quality of Korea’s engineering with a hand-made motorcycle unique to the world at only this location.

According to the museum manager one visiting Chinese tourist wanted to buy all of the motorcycles from Hall 3. However their request was politely turned down. The manager reasoned that they should be enjoyed by all, not just one.

Skipping on to Hall 5, we have the Won-bin motorcycle on the display which was used in a commercial with him.

Japanese tourists love to touch this motorcycle and then their chests as if it brings them closer to the man.

The Korean Wave is something.

Another motorcycle in Hall 5 is the Sky 72 Red Horse.

Like the name indicates, this festival is a time to find healing in nature.

One simply feels alive when surrounded by trees and flowers, who only speak the quiet language of the earth, yet can express so much.
