An important note on Jeju’s updated bus system and this blog post

From August 2017, Jeju Island implemented a new city and intercity bus system. It increased the number of buses in service, while simplifying the routes, fees and numbering system.

Consequently, the contents of this previously published blog post may have changed. We therefore would kindly request that you consult this page for new bus maps in English on VisitJeju.net,  and this page on our blog for a chart of the old and new bus route numbers.

If you read Korean, then the province’s official bus system website is a useful and up-to-date resource. We hope you’ll enjoy your travels on Jeju Island!

Nature lovers, it’s time to go outdoor! Join us at the Saryeoni Forest Eco-Healing Festival this week.

The festival is from June 4 to June 18, 2016 at Saryeoni Forest. You can go there by bus #781, 710, 720, or 730 from the Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal or by the Jeju City Tour Bus. The buses will drop you off at the Saryeoni Forest entrance. The festival is from 8am – 5pm on weekdays, and 7:00am-5:30pm on the weekend.

Like the name indicates, this festival is a time to find healing in nature.

One simply feels alive when surrounded by trees and flowers, who only speak the quiet language of the earth, yet can express so much.

On a rainy day, the forest smells even sweeter.

In the heat of summer, Saryeoni forest is a cool shelter for you to find shade and rest.

If you’re looking for a good place to stretch your legs and calm your mind, then take some time this week to visit Saryeoni Forest. If you like climbing oreum, note that Mulchat Oreum will only be opened during this Saryeoni Forest Eco-Healing Festival. So hurry and climb it before the Mulchat Oreum is closed again on June 18th.
