I’ve played the first game rer-eleased on the 3DS and thought it was excellent. Fortunately for portable games you can play them while on the go, and I’ve done just that. What I can report about the game so far is that it’s freakin’ hard! The game largely follows the same formula as the first, and totally punishes you if you make a mistake. That being said, the game is still addictive and fun, and the story had me hooked in a matter of minutes. A full review should come in a week or two 🙂

Only grabbed this one because it was just three bucks at GameStop. And also I’ve been looking at the game for well over two years and thinking I should get it. I am a fan of puzzle games, as previously stated, so I’ll have to give this one a look for sure.

One of three fighting games on the list, InuYasha is based on the anime of the same name. I honestly have no interest in this game (or TV show), but I am a fighting game aficionado as well. I don’t really know anything about the game, but it’s a fighter, so we’ll see how it goes.

Not to be confused with the anime/manga of the similar name, One Piece Mansion is a hotel management simulator by Capcom. I passed on the game in the past, and after some quick research I regretted it. I was happy to find the game sitting on a shelf for less than $10. I read online that the game features pretty interesting characters and gameplay mechanics.

A little less than two weeks ago I found Point Blank 3 in pristine condition with a perfectly fine big box and guncon. Now that I have the first game in the series, I have all three Point Blank games for the PS1. Actually, there was a DS version released as well, so just one more game and I own the entire series!

I remember the watching The Smurfs every now and then when I was growing up, but it was never that into the series. Smurf Racer seems to be a poorer quality game, but hey, you never know.

Oh man. Talk about complete fan service. Street Fighter X Tekken is one of the biggest fighting games to come out in recent memory, and easily one of the games I’m most excited about this year. I’ve already had some time to put into the game and I must say, it’s not quite what I was expecting. Not in a bad way, just that it’s different. The fighting system is not the same as Street Fighter IV or Marvel vs. Capcom 3. That being said, it is quite fun so far and I’m looking at putting a lot more time into this fighter.

This is an arcade classic! Time Crisis in a light-gun based game that has a, you guessed it, time restraint on each level. I really don’t know of any other game quite like this one (and it’s many sequels), and they are definitely worth checking out if you see them in the arcades. Something I really enjoyed about this one is how much it felt like a movie. They were going in that direction, and they pulled it off more or less.

I’ve never heard of this game before meeting my girlfriend, who says the game is fun (from her memory). It is the third fighting game I got this week, and is the only 3D fighter of the bunch. The Unholy War has an interesting premise but looks like it’s going to suck hard. Time will tell…
