The man who still lives in the past and is burdened by it.
The enigmatic Priest who met Eliwood’s party by chance on the “Dread Isle.” He appeared right before the final battle with Nergal –lending his strength to Eliwood’s party for the sake of returning peace to the world.
Originally a mercenary-like soldier, he does not talk much about his own past or colleagues. However, the crime he committed long ago often returns to haunt his consciousness –a secret he hides in the deepest reaches of his heart.

Even though he is a peaceful clergyman who lives as a hermit, he occasionally breaks that lifestyle when called to battle.
Though a modest and quiet man, it becomes steadily clear that he is dragging a terrible past with him.
In a conversation, Wallace mentions a man who he “looked up to as a teacher 30 years ago.” Also, Canas mentions “a man who cooperated with Nergal as a test subject to become the first morph.” Was Renault really this person? It all continues to remain a mystery.

過去を背負い続け今も過去に生きる男
「魔の島」でエリウッドたちが出会う謎の司祭。ネルガルとの決戦の直前、エリウッドたちの元に姿を現し、世の平穏を取り戻すため力を貸す。
　元は傭兵らしいが、仲間に自分の過去について多くは語らない。ただし、自分が過去に犯した罪に対する良心の呵責を、心の底に秘めている。
