016 Saul

The unconventional Clergyman who loves women above all else.
A priest of the Elimine church. While searching for the whereabouts of Bern’s missing “Fire Emblem,” Saul came into contact with Roy and his party who were taking care of Guinevere. For the sake of thoroughly investigating the matter, he joined Roy’s party. While he certainly has faith and knowledge, his personality is hardly that of a Clergyman –womanizing with every woman he sees.

His tendency to womanize makes people repeatedly wonder as to whether his actions and words are really that of a Clergyman or not. Despite that, he received orders from Yodel to search for the “Fire Emblem,” a sign that Saul has the ability to carry out his duty diligently. With the state the world is in, perhaps monks like him are necessary.
However, Elen and Cecilia complain of Saul’s specialty of womanizing, and do not think him fir for his job. In other words, Saul seems to still need training.

女性をこよなく愛する型破りな聖職者
　エリミーヌ教の神父。ベルンから消えたファイアーエムブレムの行方を追って、ギネヴィアを保護しているロイたちに接触。ことの次第を見きわめるため、そのまま行動を共にする。知識や信仰は確かだが、聖職者らしからぬ軽い性格の持ち主で、女性と見るや声をかけまくる。

　女性にばかり声をかけ、はたしてこれが聖職者かと思わせるような言葉や行動の数々。それでもヨーデルからファイアーエムブレム捜索の命を受けたのは、サウルがその任務をこなすだけの能力をちゃんと持っていることの証である。動乱の世の中にあっては、案外彼のような神父が必要なのかもしれない。
　ただし、サウル得意のくどき文句も、エレンやセシリアにはまるで通じなかった。違う意味でサウルもまだまだ修行が必要なようだ。
