There was a slight change I had to make to “Playing Cards,” see notes below the comic page! It’s rather minor, but made it flow better with English audiences.

Translation Notes: For those curious, I had to make a slight change to “Playing Cards.” There is a TL note in there that mentions it, but in more detail: Jakob’s Japanese name is “Joker.” The card joke was meant to be Felicia pointing out that this card has an illustration labeled “Joker,” and is therefore Joker the character, rather than Joker the playing card. Jakob points out it looks more like Zola, and she then regrets her luck in drawing a “Zola,” likely due to being unable to match it and likely not being too fond of him. The mention of “Been having bad luck with ‘Jakob'” is Corrin calling the Joker card Joker (the name). It all comes out sounding like gossip to Zola who does not know the context that it is just a matching card game.

So, in English, the best way to get this across was simply adding Felicia saying “This Joker card looks kind of like Jakob,” and Corrin referring to the card as ‘Jakob’ even though he’s talking about the Joker card itself. This way Zola still overhears different names being called and Felicia’s “opinion” of them. Almost like eavesdropping on some gossip he’s not part of.
