This post is of page 168-169, which features concept artworks of generic classes (Mages, Sages, Laguz in their human forms, Bandits, Priests, and Bishops). The commentary is translated both on the page and here on this post.

You can find every translation I’ve done on this book so far on the compilation post here!

As you can imagine, the process of doing all this (scanning, editing, translating, etc) takes a lot of time, and I am unemployed…so if you like what I did, then…

Translated text:

Class Designs

[10] Higher level mage units. They have a minimal amount of accessories as not to hinder their incantations. [11] Sages. The hoods they had as Mages are removed, and shoulder pads are added. [12] Some Mage sketches. The deformed caricatures are rather adorable. [13] Mages. Their triangular hoods closely resemble the usual series’ conventions. Their capes are on the shorter side, too. [14] Beast Tribe [Laguz]. Gallia has a warmer climate, so the denizens were designed to wear loose clothes with plenty of ventilation to keep cool. [15] Higher level Priests. Both the male and female units remove their hood, in contrast to the lower-ranks. It makes them look slightly more comfortable. [16] Priests. They have minimal decorations, but feature colors that emphasize purity and cleanliness. [17] Bandit. Unrefined and barbaric, they indeed resemble the ruffians they truly are. [18] Bishops. They wear capes and caps to give even more of a dignified image. [19] Bird Tribe [Laguz]. Considering they fly through the sky, they were designed to wear soft and airy clothing. [20] Dragon Tribe [Laguz]. A rarity in Tellius, their notable characteristic is their tanned skin.

Notes/Observations:

Most interesting is how there are female designs for classes that never use them (for the enemy).
