Species: Beorc
Class: Priest
Affinity: Water
Origin: Daein
Apparent Age (Designed): 35

Greil’s wife; Ike and Mist’s mother.

While she was serving as a priestess at the Palmeni Temple in Daein, she cared for the Serenes Princess Lillia who was confined by Ashnard. Because Elena was not versed in the ancient tongue, she could not verbally communicate with Lilia and the two fostered a mutual trust by sensing the “order” within each other.

At one point, Lillia, who was weak and knew her time was coming to an end, taught Elena the “song” and begged her to take the medallion far away from Daein. So the medallion’s chaos shall not befoul others or fall into evildoers’ hands– Elena gracefully accepted Lillia’s final request. Elena’s fiancé, Gawain was a pivotal member of the Daein military, but after hearing her story and because he feared Ashnard’s movements from here on, he decided to abandon Daein. Afterwards, their escape route took them from Crimea to Gallia.

Later, Ike learned from the Serenes Prince Reyson that the song Lillia entrusted to Elena was the “Galdr of Release” passed down by Lehran to free the “dark god” within the medallion. Evidently, the “Fire Emblem” was responsible for turning the destinies of Gawain and Elena–and later their children, Ike and Mist–upside down.
