A Ranger of the Greil Mercenaries. He is the son of Greil, and Mist’s older brother. His mother Elena died when he was young.
A key characteristic of Ike is his more adult-view of the world, due to having been influenced and raised on the battlefield. He hates saying more than needs to be said, and is always stout-hearted. Some others likely perceive this as him acting above his actual ability, however.
After his father was murdered by the Black Knight, Ike succeeded Greil by becoming leader of the Greil Mercenaries. This was a rather heavy burden for the inexperienced Ike to bear, which led to some inevitable friction with those around him. However, thanks to his natural sense of righteousness and unprejudiced personality, he managed to gain plenty of allies. Ike eventually grew to command the entire Crimean Liberation Army after being formally knighted by Princess Elincia.
Ike, wielding the divine sword Ragnell and utilizing the hidden art of “Aether” defeated the Mad King Ashnard and became known as the “Patriotic Hero.”
However, this is only the beginning for Ike, who will eventually come to be revered as the “Radiant Hero.”
