A warrior of Gallia. Though he may look young, he is actually a powerful and deeply trusted commander in the service of King Caineghis. Lethe and Mordecai are his subordinates.
He stresses importance in remaining flexible and adapting to ever changing situations –to the point of exhaustion. Caineghis approves of Crimea’s plan for a peaceful coexistence between beorc and laguz, so Ranulf is the one that is often tasked with negotiating with the beorc.
Ranulf met the Greil Mercenaries at the border two days after the fall of Castle Crimea with Elincia in their care. He had a bitter response to Ike calling him a “sub-human.”
After that incident, however, he got along with the frank Ike rather well. He joined the Crimean Liberation Army under Caineghis’ orders, deepening their trust even farther.
