A Thunder Mage who travels with a wandering merchant convoy which consists of Muston (the weapons dealer), Aimee (the items dealer), Daniel (the blacksmith), and Jorge (the used goods dealer).
Ilyana and the others of the merchant convoy were captured and held at Gribe Prison by Begnion’s occupying force in Daein. It was there she met Micaiah, and soon after joined the Dawn Brigade in order to help them liberate Daein.
From a glance, it does not seem like she holds such an immense appetite. It is not an exaggeration to say many people first encounter her when she is lying around having collapsed from hunger. She even successfully manages to badger Heather enough to bring her food during their first encounter. She has not changed much since the Mad King’s War, and is terrible as ever at remembering people’s names and faces. However, she has perfect memory regarding names of people who have treated her to delicious meals or are good at cooking.
Though she may always seem to be thinking about food, she has incredible insight into the hearts of others. There is a scene where she helps Zihark, who at the time was caught between loyalty to his country and what is right, find the resolve to reach a decision.
