Link, Ocarina of Time

Drawn using black fineliner. From memory its thickness was 0.3mm. The text on the left reads: “Zeruda no densetsu” or Legend of Zelda. The three words on the right in descending order are: yūryoku (strength), yūki (courage), and chie (wisdom). Link is one of my favourite Nintendo characters of all time. In this piece, I chose a monochrome palette because I feel that allows more space to showcase detail, especially when you’re using techniques like cross-hatching. The thick black contour around Link was included to make him pop out so to speak. I am happy with the folds on the tunic but a little bit more could have been done with the shield. Thoughts/constructive criticism welcome below:)
