The Lutheran Order of Service for Christmas Day is available here in isiZulu, seTswana and English. Today it comes with a sermon based on God’s Word from the epistle of St. Paul to Titus in the 3 chapter verses 4-7. This sermon was written by Rev. Kurt Schnackenberg (Shelly Beach, KZN) in English (Sermon for Christmas Day KS 2015) and translated as usual by my dear father Rev. May you have a very blessed weekend and have time to meditate on the watchword for Christmas: And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (Joh.1:14 KJV)
And we pray with a collect for this Holiday: Almighty God, grant that the birth of Your only-begotten Son in the flesh may set us free from the bondage of sin; through Jesus Christ Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit one God now and forever. Amen.
If you are called to preach this weekend, may the triune God give you joy and strength, wisdom, knowledge and insight – and the true words and pictures to preach his holy will faithfully according to his most precious revelation of his will and promises in both the Old and New Testament! However if you are not preaching, but listening – then listen as if God is talking to you + His precious gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16 NIV)
