This is a key work for any understanding of Deleuze&#8217;s transcendental empiricism.  It plays an especially important role in the overall argument of chapter 4 of <em>Difference and Repetition</em>.  The translation of this very difficult to find work is an exciting moment in Deleuze scholarship.</p>
