Take a chance on love, but, what do I have to gain, and what have I got to lose, let’s see…

If I take a chance on love, I risk losing myself to this relationship that’s coming toward me, and if I don’t, then, I risk losing the ONLY chance I have on finding that one true love for me.  It’s just, so hard to decide, why can’t I just, sit on this god DAMN rock, that’s right here, at the center of this cross road, and, wait for either option, to come and CHOOSE me instead?

Take a chance on love, you’d told me, let love be yours, and, all you gotta do, is to open your arms wide, and embrace this love of mine, but, what if I ended up, getting broken by this so-called love of yours, yeah, you say you love me now, but, what about for the future?  Is there any guarantees?  Of course N-O-T, as nobody can guarantee ANYTHING that’s still FAR off, in the future to you!

Take a chance on love, no, because I already foresaw (that’s PAST tense for ya!) and I had come to know, where that’ll end, and, it’s still, NOT in my favor, so no, I will NOT, be taking a chance on love, I’d already learned THAT lesson, thank you very much, and I got NO need to touch that burning stove TWICE, I’m NOT stupid, you know!
