<p style="text-align:left;"><em>I’d Heard, that Some of the Things Will Never Return Again</em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><em>And Heard, that Many of the Things</em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><em>Had Been Stored in the Freeze-Frames</em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><em>This Precise Moment will be Many Years Later, from a Long Time Ago </em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://i0.wp.com/www.christopherfowler.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/midlife.jpg" />time for the &#8220;halfway review&#8221;, isn&#8217;t it?  Not my picture&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>There’s too much left over inside of the body</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>That easily expired, too allergic</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Too used to handling what’s damaged already</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Easily expired, and hyper allergenic too</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>The world became a standstill all of a sudden</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And, would ram into the narrowed alleys of the wills</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Constantly, bumping into those ancient signs in the newer intersections</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Those delayed incidents, those that’s passed the stations of stopping………</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Life is still calculated by the seconds</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And you’d needed to train to use those overly used words and phrases</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Needed to change with the seasons</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>The days became loose, like that t-shirt</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>That’s sent into the wash one too many times </em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>You can’t, get the lost touches back again</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Everything may well be the finalized movement</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And, it may well, foretell a lot of future unknowns</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>In the afternoon of entering and exiting</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Worked hard, sorted through those distant windows</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Along with those, delayed time and time again dreams</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>How do you, back out, of each of these freeze frames</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Without making a single sound?</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>The day’s condition is, unspecified, there’s that same old scene at hand</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>There would be those birds, that came and carried some things away</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Some were noticed, others, weren’t</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And yet, we’d, arrived, at the transferring stations</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And, prepared, to understand a lot of the things we didn’t and couldn’t comprehend before</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>Caring about the elderly daycare programs, and, soon, everything will be spent up</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em>And, moved on so quickly</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img class="mainImage accessible nofocus" title="檢視來源圖片" src="https://i0.wp.com/aquickremark.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Joe_Taylor_mid-life_crisis_copy.jpg" alt="midlife 的圖片結果" />not my comic&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>From here on out, makes way to that day that’s finally here</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>Felt that deep nostalgia toward everything that can’t be returned, the love, and everything else</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>In the transparent, serene distance, </em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>Making note of what’s already lost</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>Those items not yet complete, or those we’d intentionally avoided</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>Is that it? Or, do we, need to, wait longer?</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>The leaves are falling down even later now, the seasons kept adding on</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>To the sunrises and sunsets that kept coming…………</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>And, it’s a brand new photograph tomorrow</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>And, someone usually says, “Stand a bit closer</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>A little, to the right more, can you stare up ahead</em></p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><em>And, don’t forget to smile</em></p>
<p style="text-align:center;">So, this, is how it is at midlife, you’re, half way done, and, usually, this, would be a time, for that review over the past, to see if you’d done anything you needed to make amends for, and this, like that mid-term back in school, only that the grades you made will go down in permanent ink!</p>
