The Woods Had

Clamped Tightly to the Roads Which We’d Come

With the End of Our Journeys, Somewhere Up Ahead

Or, was it Me, Who

Can’t See that Someone Had, Gone Before

And Followed in Her/His Paths.

The Setting Sun Rushed Over Furiously

From the Other Side of the Universe,

And, Devoured Up, the First Half of My Life

There’s that hint of regret, or resolution, maybe, to this one, and, the path that the narrator’s on, s/he can’t see where s/he is going, but, s/he was urged onward, and, was, chased down by the setting sun, reminding her/him, that another day had, swiftly, passed by…
