But it wasn’t, an “isolated incident” like he’d, promised you it was!  His love turned you purple, and now, you’re, covered, ALL over in his L-O-V-E, and, some of the purple love he’d, given you, had turned BLACK and BROWN too!

His love turned you purple, and, despite the times he’d, beaten you up, used you, as HIS punching bag, you still, couldn’t, leave him, and why is it, that the rest of us, your friends, can see what he truly is, and you can’t???  Could it be, because you grew up, watching your mother, “work” as a punching bag for your daddy, that you’d, internalized how men and women were, supposed to, act toward each other?  Or, are you, just, so foolish to believe, that if it doesn’t hurt you bad enough, then, it, wasn’t love at all???
