<![CDATA[Top 20 London Street Art Works Of 2015]]>Well this has certainly been the hardest post to compile in our near year at London Calling Blog, attempting to select our favourite 20 works from a year absolutely crammed with an abundance of high-quality and entertaining artworks on London’s Streets. After much deliberation and with many more works we would of liked to include here, it really was difficult editing down to a mere 20 works, however here are the pieces that have really stood out for us this year. That said on another day with another assessment, some of these pieces would be different. Here’s to a great 2016 with a look back at our favourite works in 2015.

Standout Work by Nick Flatt & Seeds One on the Shoreditch Art Wall for ‘Behind The Curtain’, the work that we feel should of won the competition, a great idea & great subject superbly expressed. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post on this piece (covered here).

Magnificent work yet again by Fanakapan in Brick Lane. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post (covered here).

Excellent work by visiting Italian artist Pixel Pancho in Dalston for the ‘Colour The Capital’ Project , one of the best pieces from 2015 for us here at London Calling Blog. You can view more images in our post on this piece (covered here).

Spectacular work by Joel Bergner in Shoreditch, a real highlight of the year. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post (covered here).

Work by Mehdi Ghadyanloo in Shoreditch. This marked the third wall from Mehdi Ghadyanloo on his first visit painting outside of his native Iran. He additionally returned in May and painted a further 2 works , definitely a highlight artist for us here and we hope he returns to paint in London soon. Brilliant work by Telmo Miel in Brick Lane, one of the years highlights for us here at London Calling Blog. You can view the post we did on this work (covered here).

Excellent work by Nomad Clan duo, Aylo & CBloxx in Camden Town. You can view the post we did on this work (covered here).

Excellent work by Jimmy C in Brick Lane, and our favourite work from him in 2015. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post on this (covered here).

Work by Jim Vision & Zadok in Brick Lane, with a touching and superbly executed tribute to Terry Pratchett who passed away in March. This is only a picture of the central part of the wall, with the entire work being some 5-6 times larger than this. ‘Spring Offering’ by Bailon, Sliks & Jimmy C in Brick Lane, With Bailon and Sliks visiting from Brazil. This pieces marks one of the largest and best works put up in London this year. You can view more images and some progress pictures in our post on this piece (covered here).

Superb excellent work by Irony in Camden Town, one of the very best hit up in Camden Town this year and fittingly the subject is of a local resident. You can view the post we did on this work (covered here).

Excellent surreal work by Ana Maria in Brick Lane. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post on this piece (covered here).

Incredible work by visiting French artist Bom.K in Brick Lane, who was over for the Moniker Art Fair in October. Also a great example of how much we love wandering London and bumping into such a piece of art or calibre of artist we were previously unaware of. Exceptional work from Martin Ron & Jiant in Hackney Wick, one of the highlights of the year for us here at London Calling Blog, a superb use of the large wall. You can view more images and some progress shots in our post on this piece (covered here).

Work by Louis Masai in Shoreditch, with one of the most impressive Street Art projects this year. The work depicted upon completion a thriving Coral Reef ecosystem and was created for Synchronicity Earth and what is most interesting about this project isn’t just the stunning mural that was created, but the way it was constructed.The idea was to essentially paint a film, that will be set alongside soundscapes from Coral environments, so the goal was never to just paint the finished piece, it was to start from the beginning of the evolution of an entire ecosystem, with the scene evolving and with elements coming and going, leaving Louis Masai using this wall to create a series of scenes depicting the stages in the growth of the Coral Reef environment. Always entertaining and very tongue-in-cheek work ‘War On Terror’ by Trust Icon in Camden Town. You can view the post we did on this work (covered here).

Very interesting work by visiting Spanish artist Ampparito in Peckham, one of the highlights of the year in terms of international artists visiting London. You can view more images of this and the other 2 pieces Ampparito put up on his visit and some progress shots in our post (covered here).
