It was an uncertain time for Camden at the beginning of the year with Camden set to lose much of its Street Art to upcoming redevelopments. Camden Lock Market a beautiful gallery of paintings was closed, as were the streets around the back of the market which had been transformed in to what was at the time marked the best concentration of high-quality Street Art. So a couple of months into the year the best part of 70% of Camden’s Street Art walls were lost, however largely through the hard work of The Real Art of Street Art who have been responsible for facilitating the vast majority of Street Art works in the area, Camden has continued to flourish with colour and beauty, just on new walls. It has been a superb year in Camden Town and there has been a proliferation of fantastic works on the ever changing walls about the area. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art in Camden Town from 2015.

‘Last Trip To Wonderland’ by Trust Icon, which marked Day 1 of Trust Icons ‘Genuine Article’ exhibition in which he decided to dispense with a gallery to display his latest body of works and decided to take his Street Art exhibition to the streets, setting out to paint an impressive 15 pieces over 15 days in April. Certainly one of the most interesting Street Art events of the year and one that kept us very busy hunting the freshest addition daily over the 2 weeks, but ultimately satisfying.
