<p>Top Ten Tuesday was started by The Broke and the Bookish, and was taken over by <a href="http://www.thatartsyreadergirl.com/top-ten-tuesday/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">That Artsy Reader Girl </a>in 2018. This week&#8217;s theme is Books that I LOVED, but have less than 2,000 reviews on Goodreads! I somehow squeaked out exactly 10 5 starred books that have less than 2,000 reviews, and I am incredibly impressed.</p>
<h3>Book 1: <em>Prez, Volume 1</em> by Mark Russell</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5382" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/26067594/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg" data-orig-size="259,400" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="26067594" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg?w=194" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg?w=259" class="alignnone wp-image-5382" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg?w=175&#038;h=270" alt="26067594" width="175" height="270" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg?w=175&amp;h=270 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg?w=97&amp;h=150 97w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26067594.jpg 259w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>As popular as Mark Russell seems to be, I am so shocked that so many of his books don&#8217;t have more reviews! <em>Prez</em> is only one volume, which is so unfortunate, and takes place in a world where anyone can become president, including a teenage girl. Rumor has it the comic got a little too realistic.</p>
<h3>Book 2: <em>Nameless</em> by Grant Morrison</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5383" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/26138086/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg" data-orig-size="317,475" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="26138086" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=200" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=317" class="alignnone wp-image-5383" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=175&#038;h=263" alt="26138086" width="175" height="263" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=175&amp;h=263 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=100&amp;h=150 100w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg?w=200&amp;h=300 200w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/26138086.jpg 317w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>I heard a rumor (sorry I am SO DEEP INTO <em>Umbrella Academy</em> right now!!) that this was going to be made into a movie, so I picked it up to read. Turns out is a mindtrip of a horror comic. Especially given that it is by Grant Morrison&#8230;.how does it not have more reviews? It&#8217;s hella dark and gory, just a quick CW.</p>
<h3>Book 3: <em>Kingdom of Needle and Bone</em> by Mira Grant</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5384" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/40116794/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg" data-orig-size="318,467" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="40116794" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=204" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=318" class="alignnone wp-image-5384" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=175&#038;h=257" alt="40116794" width="175" height="257" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=175&amp;h=257 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=102&amp;h=150 102w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg?w=204&amp;h=300 204w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/40116794.jpg 318w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>Mira Grant, aka Seanan McGuire, has quickly become one of my favorite authors in the last few years. Everything I&#8217;ve read by her has been amazing and dark and creepy. This novella I got on Netgalley, and is the author&#8217;s rant against anti-vaxxers and a fictionalized telling of what is going to happen if they DONT VACCINATE THEIR KIDS.</p>
<h3>Book 4: <em>Longbourn&#8217;s Songbird</em> by Beau North</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5385" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/36153512/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg" data-orig-size="227,364" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;1&quot;}" data-image-title="36153512" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg?w=187" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg?w=227" class="alignnone wp-image-5385" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg?w=175&#038;h=281" alt="36153512" width="175" height="281" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg?w=175&amp;h=281 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg?w=94&amp;h=150 94w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36153512.jpg 227w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be honest, I was completely thrown by how few reviews/ratings this book has. It is probably my favorite <em>Pride and Prejudice </em>retelling to date! Post WWII, this beautiful retelling had me actually being okay with Elizabeth not ending up with Darcy if that was the desired outcome. I really do need to dig into the rest of Beau&#8217;s books!!</p>
<h3>Book 5: <em>Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles</em> by Mark Russell</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5386" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/36686229/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg" data-orig-size="270,415" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="36686229" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg?w=195" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg?w=270" class="alignnone wp-image-5386" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg?w=175&#038;h=269" alt="36686229" width="175" height="269" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg?w=175&amp;h=269 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg?w=98&amp;h=150 98w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36686229.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>My second Mark Russell comic, that has me SHOCKED that it has less than 2K! I even have a Snagglepuss tattoo because of this damn comic. Seriously, Mark Russell blends social issues into satirical stories or dramas that make the overall concept seem absolutely absurd (this is freaking Snagglepuss!) but does so well.</p>
<h3>Book 6: <em>The Unfortunates</em> by Kim Liggett</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5387" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/36270292/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg" data-orig-size="310,475" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="36270292" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=196" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=310" class="alignnone wp-image-5387" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=175&#038;h=268" alt="36270292" width="175" height="268" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=175&amp;h=268 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=98&amp;h=150 98w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg?w=196&amp;h=300 196w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/36270292.jpg 310w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>This is a short YA horror book, which if you read my last review, you know I am very into. This one is about a group of kids being stuck in a cave with a dark force or presence following them. It is amazingly atmospheric. Kim Liggett is such a cool author and has a few great horror books, I highly recommend you follow her on social media and checking out her books!</p>
<h3>Book 7: <em>Failing Up</em> by Leslie Odom Jr</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5388" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/35415677/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg" data-orig-size="281,400" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="35415677" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg?w=211" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg?w=281" class="alignnone wp-image-5388" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg?w=175&#038;h=249" alt="35415677" width="175" height="249" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg?w=175&amp;h=249 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg?w=105&amp;h=150 105w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/35415677.jpg 281w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>Leslie Odom Jr. deserves ALL THE RATINGS AND REVIEWS. This is a memoir of <em>Hamilton</em>&#8216;s original Aaron Burr (sir) and how he got to that position and where he&#8217;s planning to head next. It is ridiculously positive — it would be an amazing gift for any recent graduate. It is light and airy and brilliantly fun to read.</p>
<h3>Book 8: <em>Shadowshaper</em> 2 (but also 1) but Daniel José Older</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="5389" data-permalink="https://megggriffin.com/2019/02/19/ttt17/attachment/34051373/" data-orig-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg" data-orig-size="314,475" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="34051373" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=198" data-large-file="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=314" class="alignnone wp-image-5389" src="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=175&#038;h=265" alt="34051373" width="175" height="265" srcset="https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=175&amp;h=265 175w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=99&amp;h=150 99w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg?w=198&amp;h=300 198w, https://lafoiaveugle.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/34051373.jpg 314w" sizes="(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px" /></p>
<p>Honestly, I enjoyed book 1, but I LOVED book 2. It really hit its stride! This is a wonderful YA series that blends modern Brooklyn with Caribbean magic and graffiti as conduits to ancestrial magic, plus an ancient battle and ahhh just — this is a YA series that blends paranormal, family, romance, and culture so effortlessly and more people should read it.</p>
<h3>Book 9: <em>This Body&#8217;s Not Big Enough for the Both of Us</em> by Edgar Cantero</h3>

<p>Edgar Cantero&#8217;s got the most unique voice I&#8217;ve read recently. This is a noir detective novel with two detectives sharing one body. Two sociopaths in one body — the cold Sherlock type and the manic feeling all emotions genius type. It is meta, it is funny, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Sherlock with his mortal enemy IN HIS BODY. And you don&#8217;t cheer for either nor do you completely hate either? Edgar Cantero is probably easy to hate too, but I can&#8217;t help it he&#8217;s wonderful.</p>

<p>This is a graphic novel poetry biography. I really am not sure how to describe it! But it is an amazing look at Mary Shelley&#8217;s life and how she created <em>Frankenstein</em>. She did not have the happiest of lives, but I still kind of worship her.</p>
<p>These are my top 10, let me know what yours are!</p>
