<![CDATA[Monarch Butterfly Migration Art Shanty – Jan. 20 – Feb. 11 – Minneapolis]]>Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge has a unique opportunity for you to participate in an exciting local event that combines conservation education with art….the Monarch Butterfly Migration Art Shanty!  The Art Shanty Projects is a unique and truly Minnesotan event that starts with the traditional ice fishing house concept then adds local artists to create a whimsical winter experience. Shanty Village, located on Lake Harriett is free and open to the public January 20 through February 11, 2018.
We are looking for volunteers willing to take a 4-hour shift helping with one of three tasks: a rotation of short education presentations, butterfly bike helper, or craft facilitator. Shifts run 9:30-12:30 am and 12:30-4:30 pm.
