Join us to learn about the dataset and collaborate around the Multimedia Commons!
Join us in October 2016 to talk about innovative research using the YFCC100M and the Multimedia Commons dataset — and how we can best leverage this massive resource in future for the benefit of the multimedia research community. This year’s workshop theme will be Datasets, Evaluation, and Reproducibility, reflecting the potential of the new data to suggest new perspectives on evaluation and reproducible research. We will also discuss available tools and resources, plan future annotations and other expansions, and provide a broad forum for users of the Multimedia Commons to present their work.
AudioNet Jam Session: ICSI is planning a new corpus of audio annotations on the YFCC100M videos. Join the coordinators to give us input on how AudioNet should best be designed to support cutting-edge research.
Yahoo Grand Challenge: One of this year’s Grand Challenges is the Tag and Caption Prediction Challenge sponsored by Yahoo, on YFCC100M data. Join us for the Grand Challenge session to see how the teams tackled the problem!
5/12/2016: We presented the MMC and some research it has inspired in a “Data Science Is a Team Sport” session at the West Big Data Hub meeting.
12/17/2015: We introduced the Multimedia Commons dataset to Amazon Web Services users and AWS specialists led a technical Q&A.
