(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Early decisions for colleges are coming up. Seniors can apply for early admissions that gives them a chance to get accepted into that certain college earlier.

According to forbes.com college blogger Steve Cohen, seniors are only allowed to apply at one college for early decision, if accepted they must attend.

Cohen said, “In exchange for an early application – and a professed expression of singular interest – colleges let kinds know early in the senior year of high school whether they’ve been accepted. This spared the lucky ones an eight-month ordeal of waiting.”

Cohen says this year’s admissions acceptance rate is slightly lower at most colleges due to the number of slots reserved for upcoming freshman.

Some seniors have already gotten their acceptance letters from Florida colleges. “I am so excited to be accepted to UCF,” says senior Andie Tradler.

Seniors must have taken the SAT/ACT tests and have four years of math and english, three years of science and social studies, two years of a foreign language to be able to be accepted into a university.

General admission requirements for Florida schools include residency for tuition purposes, proof of immunization, computer requirement and student classification for admission.
