(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lady Mustangs Volleyball Team will be stampeding into the District 10 championship at 7:00 tonight in the LRHS gym. They will be fighting for the title of District Champs against Sarasota High School.

LRHS Volleyball Coach Perri Hankins has faith in her players, “We have the best group of younger players. They have lots of experience from playing club and are confident in themselves. They’re used to the pressure.”

There are three freshman- Kahlee York, Shelby Dollwet, and Andrea McDonald – on the varsity team, along with sophomore Layne Thompson.

“I just want the girls to take it one game at a time and not look too far ahead. I don’t want them them to stress over the pressure of regionals or states,” said Coach Hankins.

No matter the outcome of tonight’s game the Mustangs are guaranteed a spot in the FHSAA Volleyball Regionals. The first game of regionals will be next Tuesday, Oct. 29.
