(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This Friday, LRHS athletics gears up for an important day of several events.
Boy’s Varsity Basketball Senior Night takes place here at the Ranch and senior Justin Otis is pumped for the game.

“I can’t wait to get on to the court. The team this year has been almost a second family to me, so I’m going to be giving 110% for them,” said Otis.

Also playing at home on Friday, the girls varsity soccer team plays for the regional title against Seminole High.

Sophomore Mckenzie Miller is looking forward to the game, and especially what could follow with a Mustang’s win.

“I have mixed emotions right now. I feel excited, a little nervous, although pretty confident in the team. If we win regionals, theres no telling what we can accomplish.”

Starting their season Friday as well, the Lady Mustangs softball team begins their season.

Sophomore Madison Biggs is looking to a successful year.

“I think we’ll do really well this season. The team looks solid,” said Biggs.

Meanwhile, if the LRHS girls varsity basketball team wins tonight, they advance to play in the district championship, also on Friday.
