(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Tennis is underway at LRHS.

Boys’ and Girls’ home games are played at the tennis courts in front of the school.

Karman Nieto coaches the boys team and Ed Bongart coaches the girls.

Nieto is confident about the coming season.

“I think it will be interesting,” she said. “We definitely have a chance to end up in the top two in the district tournament. If we can do that we will go on to regionals and then go from there.”

The girls team is young with three seniors leaving from last years team.

“It is going to be a rebuilding year for us this year,” said Bongart.
