(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The school year coming to an end, but there is still time for one more blood drive at LRHS.

Students who want to donate blood can sign up during lunch next week. The drive is scheduled for May 8.

The previous blood drives this school year have all been successful. The last blood drive saw 100 units of blood collected.

“My goal is for us to collect at least 120 units of blood this drive,” said LRHS blood drive coordinator Maria Whalen.

All donors get volunteer community service hours..

Blood drive committee applications for 2014-15 will be available Monday May 12, and can be turned in no later than May 19.
