(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS annual Senior Lunch is now a Senior Dinner because of the new county wide policy restricting food options during school hours.

The Senior Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., May 14 in the LRHS cafeteria. Seniors must RSVP by May 9. Each senior must write his or her name on a piece of paper and drop it in either the yes or no folder hanging on the door of room 572.

“Most seniors seem excited about the change,” said Senior class adviser Ann Fleury.

Senior Joe Black said, “I don’t think that it’s such a big deal as long as we do not have it taken away entirely. However, it is a bit ridiculous that we can’t have a lunch during school hours because of the new rule.”

The menu is still undecided. Final decisions are being made on who will cater the event.
