(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This year’s LRHS Cheerleader Silent Auction attracted around 150 people, including administrators, teachers, and members of the parent association to the LRHS cafeteria May 10.

The money raised will go to new uniforms for JV cheerleaders, camp, practice wear, and pom-poms.

Half the profits will go into the individual accounts of the cheerleaders, and the rest of the general cheerleading fund.

Mustang cheerleading coach Melissa Koehlinger said the event can really help the team.

“It’s one of those fundraisers that you get out of it what you put in. If the girls make the effort to collect the auction items that’s money their parents don’t have to spend on their behalf,” she said. “If they raise enough money it gives us the chance to get new uniforms or attend a high-profile competition.”
