(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – he Lakewood Ranch French club and Latin club is sponsoring a clothing drive through Dec. 19.

Donated clothing will be sent to the Salvation army, who will ship the donations to the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness.

All LRHS students and staff are encouraged to participate in this clothing drive.

LRHS senor Tristen Melichar donated.

“I donated clothes,” he said, ” because I felt it was a good cause and I wanted to help the less fortunate.”

For the Latin club, collecting professional and work/appropriate clothing is the goal. Club adviser and LRHS french teacher Audrey Irias said such garments allow underprivileged people in the area to have a chance at getting jobs.

“Of course,” Irias said, “all donations will be greatly appreciated.”
