(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS softball team is having tryouts 3-5 p.m., Jan. 12 -13 at the Mustang softball fields.

Any students trying out must complete a physical and insurance form.

The coaching staff is looking for players who are true athletes with hustle and determination.

Sophomore Logan Newton, who played varsity her freshman year, stated that she is “excited for the season to start. I love being able to walk around campus in the uniform; it makes me feel proud to be a Mustang.”

Coaches expect 30 students to try out.

“I’m nervous but I also love how hard I push myself in order to get a spot,” stated sophomore Maddy Yoder. “Playing for LRHS is the main reason why I get up in the morning.”
