(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Some Mustangs are looking forward to joining the track team this year. Tryouts are 2:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19 on the track field. A parent meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Jan. 15 in the LRHS cafeteria.

Students trying out need to have completed physical and insurance forms. The forms are available at the Athletic Director’s office. Students planning to tryout should wear proper athletic footwear, shirts, shorts and anything they need to tryout comfortably in.

Coach Mark Napier said all students are welcome.

“I don’t cut people, you cut yourself by not showing up,” he said. “You can be a terrible athlete and as long as you show up I will find an event for you.”
