(LAKEWOOD RANCH,FL) – The Lakewood Ranch baseball team will take on Sarasota High School and North Port High School, both district showdowns this week.

Both are big games as the Mustangs look to keep hold of second place in the district.

Lakewood Ranch will come into the game against the Sailors with a record of 12-8 after defeating Bradenton Christian 6-2 on Monday.

As the season is coming to an end, important seeding in districts comes down to the last few games between teams.

“These are two important games to build momentum going to the district playoffs with a goal in mind of a district championship,” says Head Coach Ryan Kennedy.

The Mustangs look to go 13-8 and 5-2 in the district after the Sarasota game.
