(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Spanish 4 and AP Spanish students will be going on a field trip Thursday to Tampa’s traditionally hispanic Ybor City.

During their trip they will take a tour, hitting all aspects of Cuban independence leader Jose Marti, who they are currently studying in class.

Jose Marti is closely related to Tampa said Spanish teacher Lillian Martinez.

“They will visit the very steps that Jose Marti walked while giving speeches,” she said.

The students will retrace the footsteps of Marti throughout Ybor. The students will also enjoy a meal in Ybor.
