<p>(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) &#8211; Wednesday, April 15, the Mustang varsity track team will head to Clearwater High School for the <a href="http://www.fhsaa.org/sports/track-field/district-sites">FHSAA Class 3A District 10 championship track meet.</a></p>
<p>Field events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., including boys&#8217; and girls&#8217; long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, pole vault, and the discus throw.</p>
<p>11 a.m. marks the beginning of the running events, starting with the boys&#8217; and girls&#8217; 4&#215;800 meter relay.</p>
<p>Eight runners from each event will advance to the final rounds, including the winner of each heat and and the next fastest times in each event. Events are the girls&#8217; and boys&#8217; 100/110 meter high and 300 meter low/intermediate hurdles, 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter dash, and the 4&#215;100 meter relay.</p>
<p>The final rounds will begin at 4 p.m., along with the 400 meter, 1600 meter, and 3200 meter runs.</p>
<p>Head coach Mark Napier is hopeful that the team will do well.</p>
<p>&#8220;I never put the cart before the horse, &#8221; he said. &#8220;We&#8217;ll be as ready as we can be. There should be a good showing on both fronts, boys and girls.&#8221;</p>
