(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lady Mustangs softball season came to a sudden end against the rival Braden River Pirates in Class 7A District 10 tournament play Tuesday. It was a close game, as both teams battled all 7 innings and continued on into an 8th.

“The game shifted back and fourth, one minute we were winning and the next we were losing,” stated Sophomore Gretchen Ebert. “We put up a good fight we just didn’t end up on top.”

The Pirates ended up winning 6-5, ending the top-seeded Lady Mustangs’ season.

“Even though the season is over I’m not at all disappointed with the way we played,” said Sophomore Mackenzie Meyer.

The Mustangs finished the season 18-6.
