(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch chamber orchestra attended the state Music Performance Assessment (MPA’s) Tuesday, earning an excellence on their performance.

“Although we got an excellence rating, there is always room for improvement. We can definitely improve on our styling and on a few minor details,” said Orchestra teacher Daniel Shafer.

“When I play, I can express myself,” said sophomore Sadie Louk.

Sophomore Trenton Ginter said, “I joined orchestra because I had been playing the cello for a few years. Mr. Shafer is a really good teacher.”

Lakewood Ranch High School was the only school in Manatee High School to have an orchestra attend the MPA’s. There are 37 students in the LRHS chamber orchestra.
