(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Lakewood Ranch baseball team is rolling into the district playoffs with a record of 15-9.

As the regular season comes to a close, the Mustangs finished 6-2 in the district, good enough for second place behind Sarasota.

The Mustangs will take on the Palmetto Tigers Wednesday, April 22 to kick off a run towards a district championship.

The last time these two teams faced off, the Tigers one on a walk-off hit and now the Mustangs look for revenge.

“We as a team need to take one game at a time,” said Head Coach Ryan Kennedy.

The game will begin at 7 p.m. at LRHS.
