<p>(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) &#8211; On Thursday April 23, the Mustang Track team traveled to Punta Gorda for the <a href="http://fl.milesplit.com/meets/202044/results/367495">Regional Track and Field competition</a> and for the second year in a row the girl’s came in first.</p>
<p>They received a score of 85.5, which was enough to easily beat out Naples’ score of 59 for the Regional title.</p>
<p>Senior Talia Falco won the high jump competition going over at 5-foot-6 inches. She also received 2nd place in the triple jump with a 39-6. Both jumps were Falco’s personal bests.</p>
<p>The Mustang relay team also took the opportunity to score points in the 4&#215;100 relay and the 4&#215;400, in which they first and second place respectively</p>
<p>Regional runners-up from LRHS included sophomore Sophia Falco in the 100 meter dash, Reide Ryans in the 100 hurdles and John Rivera in the 800 meter run.</p>
<p>All Mustangs who finished in the top four for each event with compete in the <a href="http://www.fhsaa.org/sports/track-field">FHSAA State Championships</a> on May 2 at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida.</p>
