<p>(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) &#8211; The French program is kicking off its year starting next week. All officers for the Société Honoraire de Français (French Honors Society &#8211; FHS) must meet LRHS French teacher Audrey Irias at 7:15 a.m., Aug. 28 in room 555. The first all-member meeting for the FHS and the Cercle Français (French Club) is at 7:15 a.m., Sept. 1.</p>
<p>Anyone interested in French culture and language are invited to join the Cercle Français. Members can look forward to a field trip later this year to Palmetto High School to see a French rock singer.</p>
<p>Madame Irias encourages anyone interested in the French language and culture to attend.</p>
<p>&#8220;The more the merrier,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>The first meeting will include an ice breaker and many cultural activities. The French Club Officers will also work together to organize meetings in the future.</p>
<p>French Club members will meet the first Tuesday of every month. French Club Officers will meet every other Tuesday. These meetings will also have the same location and time.</p>
<p>Students will begin preparation for the annual Congrès de la Culture Francaise en Floride in Orlando, National French Week, and, new this year, a foreign film festival.</p>
<p>Tutoring for all French students by the FHS members will begin from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 3.</p>
