The issue with WP randomly logging people out is apparently quite a common one. Deleted web cookies and now (fingers crossed) the thing seems to be a-ok. There’s a backdoor way to post while being plagued by this problem, which is to write the post as a draft, which is autosaved by WP, then log in again and rather than publish the conventional way, select ‘quick edit’ from the posts page and change status from ‘draft’ to ‘published’. The first couple of posts today were published via this method.
