AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Wednesday evening the house of a prisoner in Fatah’s jails in the West Bank called Bajis Amro and kidnapped two of his brothers.

Local sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that a large number of IOF troops invaded Wad Al-Hariya neighborhood in Al-Khalil and ransacked the house of Amro before kidnapping his brother Marwan and Iyad and taking them to an unknown destination.

One day earlier, security militias from the Palestinian authority (PA) broke into the same house and carried out diggings inside some of its rooms.

The PA security militias for their part kidnapped yesterday five Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas Movement in the cities of Ramallah and Al-Khalil, according to local sources on Thursday.

In a separate incident, the PA intelligence apparatus released a prisoner in its jails after his health seriously deteriorated.

Local sources told the PIC that the prisoner is called Osayd Al-Wardiyan, 23, and he went on hunger strike immediately after he was kidnapped eight days ago outside Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque in Bethlehem as he was en route to perform Friday prayers.

Wardiyan was reportedly exposed to torture in detention and consequently transferred to hospital four days after his arrest. He underwent a surgery in his abdomen and was released later after his health worsened further.

In another context, Israel decided to reduce certain facilities provided to VIPs of the PA while crossing the border to Jordan through Al-Karama crossing, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said on Wednesday.

It added that according to this decision only de facto president Mahmoud Abbas and his premier could travel using their cars, noting that Israel’s crossing authorities prevented senior PA official Ahmed Qurei to cross into Jordan yesterday using his car.
