NABLUS, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority has renewed the administrative administration of two Hamas leaders in Israeli occupation jails; Ra’fat Nasif (42 years) from Tulkarem for the seventh time and for six months and Adnan Asfour (46) from Nablus for three months.

Director of the Ahrar centre for prisoners’ studies, Fouad al-Khafsh, said that Nasif and Asfour are detained in the Negev prison since 19 March 2009 without charge or trial except being accused of “political activism” and in Nasif’s case being described as a “security threat”.

Khafsh added that Asfour was detained 16 times in occupation jails and spent more than six years in jail, mostly in administrative detention. The last time he was detained less than three months after being released from occupation jails.

He also said that there are about 200 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails detained under the so called administrative detention without charge or trial.

He called on human rights organisations to highlight the cases of Palestinians held in Israeli occupation jails in administrative detention without charge or trial.
