ΦΥΛΛΑ ΣΑΖ
Το επίμηκες θυσσανωτό φύλλο σαζ ανήκει στην φανταστική χλωρίδα της Οθωμανικής διακοσμητικής. Η εμφάνισή του στα κεραμικά χρονολογείται από το 1540 και αποδίδεται στον Πέρση ζωγράφο Σαχκουλού από την Ταμπρίζ, τον οποίο έφερε στην Οθωμανική Αυλή ο Σελήμ Α’ το 1514.

SAZ LEAVES
The elongated feathery saz leaf belongs to the imaginary flora of Ottoman decoration. Its appearence on ceramics dates back to 1540 and is attributed to the Persian painter Shahkulu of Tabriz, whom Sultan Selim I brought to the Ottoman Court in 1514.
