Here are four tips that will help you to start and go forward!

First – laying down in your bed and think about a job is not an option! You should get
up, start your computer and search. Use Facebook, LinkedIn or Moj posao.hr, or just
type company name and look for job offers. You know, the company doesn’t have to
have open place for a job, you can also send CV as an open apply so that they have
you in their base. You never know, right? The point is to keep your eyes (end ears)
open!
Second – research! When you find a company that you find attractive, before you
apply for a job you should learn a bit about them. Find out what are their interest,
their mission and vision, projects that they did or do, company culture and stuff like
that. In other words, stock them and be a freak that knows every move they ever
made! It can also give you the idea of what you can bring to the table, you can see if
they have room for improvement or change and give your ideas, strategy or else. Be
a PR detective!
Third – CV! Often, CV is just something that we sand automatic, only changing
basics like the job we are applying. Think forward. You are fresh from faculty, don’t
have experience and the practical knowledge. Your CV is not interesting. But, if you
do something different, like make your own personal CV like no other, employers will
notice you. Maybe you won’t get a job, but you will be noticed! And then maybe they
will call you in the future if not right away! Also, pay attention on your motivation
letter. This one should be top! Be yourself, honest but clever. Don’t lie. Use spin
techniques that you learned in school. You don’t have experience in work? Sure you
do! Maybe you didn’t work full time job in, for example PR, but you did a tones of
communication plans in college! You participate in debates and projects, you did
some research and similar stuff.
Four – apply for volunteering! When you are a volunteer you have access to
business, you can meet the clients and see how the work is done. You can learn a lot
and then later put it in your CV. Or you may get lucky and get a full time job in the
company you are volunteering in.
If you read this article, you already started looking. There iss no such thing as I can’t
find a job. The only thing that can stop you is you. Be creative, boring, do your
everyday searching and something will come up. If not, you can always write about it
on a blog!
